Barneys CO-OP

They are opening one this spring in Houston, I want to know about it concept, labels, etc?

walk into any cookie cutter ship - same thing.

barney's co-op is more contemporary, younger lines than barney's has: marc by marc jacobs, diane vonfurstenberg, edun, stitch's, trovota, etc.

check out the barneys website, there's more on co-op:

...they have a good shoe and bag selection as well. Nothing that special though...but a great store none the less.

i love the one that just opened up here recently in Atlanta. they only have a few pieces that i can't find at like a saks or something, but do have a great selection of denim and casual wear (t's, sweaters, etc). great bags and accessories!

I love it. I'm planning on going in two weeks to do some shopping and I theirs a lot of shirts I plan on getting. The SA are extremely nice also.

A lot of Marc By Marc Jacobs, Trovata, Diane Von Furstenburg, various trendy denim labels, they did carry Helmut Lang denim until the label closed. It's American, young, and trendy.

i visited that one in may. the guy helping me was maybe 19 and the weird part was he was also trying on clothes the entire time. i saw him in a few different outfits, all with tags still on.

 I don't really care for it. It's just overpriced crap really.

ours in houston sucks. it's so boring and carries the same crap as the juniors/contemporary sections of saks/neiman's. the sa's are alright (i do love judy and think she should be at a better store), but the selection is nothing to write home about. nothing you couldn't find here already or just get online.

I enjoy the Barneys CoOp in Chicago. Its in the Lincoln Park area up north. Its alot like the regular Barney's just targeted almost strictly to a more youthul. trendy crowd. But I like that it does not short the young people from all that Barney's has to offer at the regular stores. The Coop is infested with awesome beauty products as well from really good lines like Phillip B., Dirt by JOhnathan, and Kiehls

where is this store in los angeles???

Well, there's a regular Barney's on Wilshire in Beverly Hills and it has devoted a floor to Barney's Co-op. But they're opening an actual Barney's Co-Op in the Grove this fall.:D

i've only been to the one in soho...
clothes on ground floor....denim in the basement.

..i thought they had some cool jewellery, and that's about it.
well, actually..i thought the coolest thing there were the big letters "co-op" spelled out in mannequin arms (on the wall)

*i preffered a store called "intermix" (beside the whitney museum) to co-op..
they had great chloe selection (shoes!!!)

It's the best one. They have stuff like NDC, Jas MB, Junya Watanabe, CDG shirt, etc... It's not as cookie cutter as the rest.
