Now part of the Top 50, these girls of the moment have hustled their way through countless hours on the runway and in front of the camera for their spot but this year their recognition is with a twist – the guys are in on the action. Sebastian Kim captures candid portraits of these model muses for this special story shot exclusively for Models.com. Styled by Vanessa Chow in New York black we take a brief look into the humble beginnings and meteoric rise of this year’s graduating line-up of Bella Hadid, Greta Varlese, Jing Wen, Lineisy Montero, Marjan Jonkman, Tami Williams and Jordan Barrett.

The Hadid pedigree can now turn to legacy as youngest sister Bella stakes her Top 50 claim in the fickle fashion world. But reputation alone doesn’t make a model–the drop-dead gorgeous star has done some serious flame stoking to shine this bright. Her merit was put through its paces in campaigns for Givenchy, Topshop and Marc Jacobs. Bella’s outlook has matured before the days of big bookings and her 5 million followers, all of which asserted her destiny as a household name, “It was a job, it was fun, but I was still in school, I didn’t think about it. Now I want to make sure that I work really hard, I take it really seriously.” Though she’s reached next-level status, she’s still somewhat self-effacing, “I’m a huge weirdo. I like to hang out and not do anything. Sleeping is my favorite thing to do. Now I don’t sleep enough because of work.” That, not surprisingly, being the upshot of success and leaves little time for some summer R&R in her busier-than-ever schedule, “I don’t have any plans yet, because I don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow. Anytime I’m at the beach I am happy. Tahiti is my favorite place to go–my mom is there right now.” But for her, finding repose doesn’t need to be so far-flung, “The way that I find balance is being with my friends from when I was a kid in high school, because they don’t care about anything and we just hang out and I can be myself.” The much sought-after California girl now needs only continue finessing her high standing to solidify staying-power. “I’m really happy it’s my job,” concludes Bella.

She can't model
Her face looks frozen all the time!

But she will always be a model as long as dad pays the IMG manager/mentors etc ...

Fashion industry is dead .. glory days are over
There is nothing artistic about it anymore

yes. she has the exact same facial expression in every single picture taken of her on and off the streets. it's unbelievably boring and i don't get how that justifies her sudden over-exposure now.
 
^ Gigi is responsible for her success. She's just riding the wave.
 
Am I the only one who feels she's extremely irresponsible and stupid for smoking while she has Lyme disease? Even though I don't know much about that disease, she shouldn't be ruining her health even more... From what I heard from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills show, her mom seems to be a bad influence for her and her sister (not letting her daughter Gigi eating her birthday cake because of Paris' restrictions for example).
I started to like her but she quickly became boring because as other members said she only has an expression, let's say two but it's a stretch... She was interesting at first because she was a bit different but now all mystery is gone. That's the thing with instagirls, they are overexposed so all hype around them goes away very fast.

She's on the cover of the August issue of Australian Harper's Bazaar.

She does not have chronic lyme disease and neither does her mother.

Yolanda had leaking breast implants

Anwar & Bella probably have what lots of kids have/had

Being depressive/stressed about what they want in life after school
It can make your head/body very tired/feeling weak.. hard to get out of bed, etc.

Now Bella & Anwar having a goal in life (being high fashion topmodels) & there are no signs of Lyme disease
 
Glad to know there are so many MDs in this thread ready to diagnose her lol.

Love the new work, especially the Sebastian Kim shots.

I want to see the ELISA/Western/PCR results...

Fun fact, lyme is one of the few parasite induced diseases that don't preferentially target the poor (blame the Hamptons etc.).
