yep, mostly hating now, mainly because every girl in Britain has the same one from Topshop/ Miss Selfridge. so unoriginal.

Hating. They never manage to look casual and the result looks like you've been playing dress-up or have too big clothes.

Not a fan...I always feel uncomfortable having something on my waist...i prefer belts on hips...

I think it looks nice on dresses, esp. on Mischa. Otherwise...I don't know.

i think its been played out now... every girl u see has it on!

i have said this before on this forum and almost every picture posted here proves my point...

*almost everyone i have ever seen try to do this, has looked absolutely terrible...

and this goes for the real world too...
not just tacky hollywood celebs who are trying desperately to be stylish...

it is a very hard look to pull off successfully and only the very very stylish should even attempt it...
this is not for amateurs...
:p

^ I definietly agree. It's one of those looks that you can either pull off or you can't.

I've seen some girls do it and I'm tempted to yank their belt so that it sits on their hips. Some girls look like try hards, it's cringing.

Mischa and Posh are one of the fews who have pulled it off. I think obviously it's a lot to do with the type of belt. I think the thick belts without a buckle on the front work best.

^agreed softie, i'm not a fan either.

i think one of the only persons, who really made it work for them, is our dear susie_bubble :woot:

i agree mettchen...
i thought of susie as well...

**but there is a VERY obvious reason why it works on some and not on others...it's simply not flattering on all figure types...
and also what roppal said about the actual style of the belt in question...

:innocent:...

I like this style in theory .. as it should suit me but i can never get the belt to fit properly so it just flops down... to my hips.
I think this is a little overbaked now tho .. all though i like this look... very hard to pull off though.

Never been a fan of belts and the only ones I have are skinny belts ... really thin ones that sit on the hip.

Slightly off topic but who is this girl?
missing credits

She is the SPITTING image of a high school friend :shock::ninja: Like, they could be total twins

i like this look, but i know that i wouldn't be able to pull it off.
mischa pulls it off and so does susie (of course!)
plus so of the belts chosen are horrid.

ive loved this look forever and since stefanos first collection the ysl wide belts have been a wardrobe staple.

most of the pictures shown are bad though.

carine pulls it off really well.

I prefer using the skinny belts...all of the pics have them wearing wide belts...it doesn't look as nice with skinny belts...do have any pics with people wearing those??
