Berlin shopping

Just back from Berlin, such an amazing city--I am dying to go back. Best shopping (and all around vibe frankly), was definitely in Mitte around a really tiny street called Mulackstrasse. Lots of great shops: Filippa K, Bless, this other little place called Shop..I dropped a ton of cash! There's a good round up of the area HERE.

I have to second Mulackstrasse - theres a really great store that carries Isabella Marant and cacharel among other labels, an apc boutique and a sweet little knitwear store called Lola something 'Lola Berlin' maybe ?

Quartier what's it's number has a really amazing beauty department  not to mention the rest of the store..

im going to berlin at the end of january which lands when their fashion week commences, does anybody have any information on berlins fashion week and what i should expect?

im just glad ive got plenty of time before i go so i can make up my mind about where i want to visit ect

Mulackstrasse and Alte Schönhauserstrasse are really great! I also liked Oderbergstrasse and Kastanienallee. Especially Freistil at Oderbergstrasse

hi!

I'm going to Berlin at the beginning of February and am sooo excited! I havent been before, and only really know about that city what ive read on here. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good markets/ flea markets for cheap treasures, or good cheap vintage stores?

could anyone recommend any clubs or bars aswell? like kind of cool, quirky/ indie places.

thank you so much :flower::flower::flower:

I've only been to two markets in Berlin, I went to a turkish one with loads of cheap fabric (not something you'll be looking for to take back home), and a mixed market (eco food and clothing) at Kollwitz Platz (Prenzlauerberg).

Berlin is filled with bars and clubs.. My favorite one, Rio, is unfortunately closed (if anyone could recommend me a similar club for my next visit I'd be much obliged :flower: )

White Trash Fast Food is a bar/club institution, it's located on Schönhauser allee.. but there tends to be a lot of tourists there..

One place I wanted to go, but never got around to is the chocolate restaurant Fassbender & Rausch

Have fun, Berlin is an amazing town !

thank you so much!

is that white trash place cool inside? what is it, like a bar/club thing?

also, why do u say the fabric is not the sort of thing you'd be looking to bring home? do you just mean its maybe impractical? i was quite excited about the textile market. do u recommend it?

No problem

Is WTFF cool.. depends on your definition of cool..
Here's their homepage http://www.whitetrashfastfood.com/
Reviews here, here, here.. and there's lenty more where those reviews came from..

With regards to the textil market, yeah I was thinking it would be heavy and unpractical..
but if your interested it's located on Maybachufer and open Tue & Fri 12pm-6.30pm only.
The fabric is really cheap, and it's an entertaining place to spend an hour or two..

Is Garage really that bad?
Would love to get that question answered. I wanted to check this store out when I'm in Berlin next week and want to know if it's worth a visit.

*edit* Does anybody know some good second-hand shops?

I can answer this now: it didn't smell bad and they had a few cool items (a navy jacket with gold buttons, unfortunately way too big and 4 or 5 bags).
But if you want to dig through the store you should take some time.

how did you like it Panda?

Hey everyone! Is there a shop that sells Ann Demeulemeester shoes in Berlin? Going there in late November, and would love to try out my dream shoes when I'm there...

Too late prolly :ninja: lol
Anyways, yes there are a few.

I really LOVE the KaDeWe, with the Chanel and Dior Homme Boutique in it... Did the best shopping there.

Glad to hear that. KaDeWe is definitely worth paying a visit, one of my fave stores too.
