i feel like bernhard is starting to enter upon territory more synonymous with vivienne westwood. perhaps even a nod to the old london label 'bodymap'. i wish he would return to that sort of sweetness and kitschiness....the stuff that was a little more distinct. there's still some good pieces in this and the quality(as in the making of)is likely to remain a high standard but the aesthetics are becoming a little redundant.

).. they're far from being as remarkable and smile inducing but clearly the sense of humor and quirk is still there.. it's just the way he presents and 'embellishes' his collections what seems to be stuck.. it's too much 16 year-old club kid, in 2006. I don't want him to grow up but I do think he could find a way to evolve and push the envelope, all while continuing to be as youthful as he likes to be. It's crazy how his collections from almost 10 years ago look newer and fresher than the stuff he's been doing for the past 4 years.
