I just got a really good Christmas bonus and I would like to buy a cute purse. What is the best investment? Something that won't go out of style quickly maybe ;)

Something small and practical (gotta get my use outta it)

Hmmm... under $300 if possible

Rather groovy...very understated...

If all else fails faded plum silk is a girl's best friend...

i would stick with classic items from the big houses...i concur on the wallets, bc no matter what purse you may get in the future, a chic wallet will always shine.

ok these bags have been around here for quite some time now. i adore them cause they look good with no matter what: day or night.

and this one in particular is fab cause its tiny :woot:

VANESSA BRUNO
around 80 DOLLARS

oops, LOL did you say purse??? :P

sorry but u should still consider this bag^

as in purse you mean wallet??

i got one from LV (logo classic) and it really is good. mine is small but they got great ones for cheques and so ;)

one to have a look at: smythson leather

they do fab speciality purses too :crush:

... sorry, the meaning of purse got me confused

I would purchase a coach bag (coach.com) they have very beautiful and classy bags...

I suppose a purse is like a small bag in US English and like a wallet in UK English?

No, a wallet folds over - a purse has a clasp, zip or popper. It is similar though. The word 'clutch' kind of blurs the line...

yeah I think in North America, we use the word 'purse' for small bags.

Well I'm Canadian/American and I use the word (purse) interchangable with the word handbags. Same thing to me. Purse sounds a bit dowdy though so I usually just say "bag"

what is your lifestyle? favorite colors to wear? I find that the designer bag that dresses up and down to be universal.

the best investment in my opinion is something you will reach for and everytime you use it you are happy that you got it.

I'm thinking that you should find what bag you tend to eye when walking around, what silhouette... or if you loved a look from someone like audrey hepburn & her lv speedy... that would be a good start...
