Black F/W 06.07

, I've really been appreciating some of the false blacks and dark inky shades that border on it and add quite a lot of dimension. Haider Ackermann's collection for example.

false blacks rule
and will continue to do so for seasons to come,
at least up to fw07-08
(info based on all major trend forecasting agencies)

its such a 'fresh' and creative alternative to 'real' black

^ What exactly do you mean by "false black" Lena? Black with other colors undertones...? or a washed out version of black.....?

^ Perhaps blues, greens, reds etc. that are so dark that they lean towards black?

Anyway, here's some real black at Dior:

I just love the shoes John did for this season so much... so sexy

Wait, here's an example of what could be false black, also at Dior:

You can see that it has a red vibe to it, but it's really really dark.

Thanks for the great Noir pics Mr Dale....!

Black is such an edgy/mysterious/chic color..... timeless!

Thanks for the pics. There's something about black that's really powerful, especially when its big and dramatic like at Dior.

I love that red one---the "false black" :woot:
That would be an even more interesting trend. It's hardly something I often see--where I live, if someone wants to wear dark clothing, they go for dark blue or black... but this coloured black is so nice, especially when it's shiny.
