seriously considering a blackberry - deciding between the bold and 8900 curve, can anyone recommend?!

8900 Curve, without a doubt! The Bold is beautiful to look at, but it weighs a ton. The new Curve on the other hand, does the exact same things, but it's lighter. Not the mention that the camera on the new Curve is better than the one on the bold (drastically).

I SECOND this! Go with the new Curve. I bought mine about 2 weeks ago and havent looked back since. I was also considering the bold but ultimately chose the curveB)

I was decided to buy the Bold, it is more expensive than the 8900 in my country, so I thought it was better (well, except for the camera)... Now, after reading what you guys wrote, I really don't know

i know what you mean michilili - i was leaning towards the bold because i thought it looked better and weight/size isn't much of an issue to me. but judging from everyone's opinions and experiences here, it seems curve is the one to go with!

I accidently threw my blackberry curve in the washing machine and completely wrecked it a few weeks ago. Then I used a barely functioning old motorola razr....bleh! After 3 days, I went out and bought the same blackberry again! The frustration I've suffered for those 3 days....these little phones change you for life

I have the bold, I think its just fantastic...except for the the camera, I havent tried the curve yet...but I have no complaints with the bold.

I've been using my sister's 8900 Curve as of yesterday and have never previously used a Blackberry. i was able to pick up on it so quickly and love it so much! It helps having a T-Mobile employee sister who has 32885743394 different phones laying around to try out.

i just ordered mine on sunday and i can't wait to get it!!! it's on back order right now so who knows when that will be (even tho i ordered it the day it came out )...

i currently have the 8830 world edition (sprint) and i still love it. i bought it before i even imagined i'd be traveling all over the world, and i'm glad i did! i ended up getting a job at an airline and i traveled all over the place, and sure enough, the phone worked just fine everyplace i went... from mexico to paris, italy to egypt--absolutley NO problems whatsoever!

aghhh i am so upset!!! i got my bold just three months ago and i dont heavily use it, just email and bbm nothing major major...so i was travelling and the battery emptied...and then i tried to recharge it and it wouldnt recharge at all!! it just went to a blackout sorta mode!! did anyone experince anything like that or knows how to reset it or something?

the only hard reset you can do is to remove the battery. Other than that, you need to go through desktop manager and reload the operating software. all of this can be d/led from the blackberry website. You could try googling and see if others have that issue.

Has anyone unlocked their blackberry? I got given an 8320 and will only be in Canada for another 1.5 months so I'm not going to go on a pay as you go, but I don't think Rogers will give me the unlock code. I have the software to do it all, bu the first time I did I was only 1/2 successful. I released the browser but nothing else. I want to be able to use it in the UK. Just wondering if anyone else did it successfully otherwise I'll just pay someone for the code....

i would not suggest the bold at all. everyone i know that has one has had major problems with it! even though its so beautiful i think its programs have a lot of bugs as well so until they are fixed and a new one is out i'd say dont bother!
on another note, the silver disc/ring around my trackball fell off and i cant find it anywhere
does anyone in the UK know where i can order one without paying like 25 pounds for one...cause lets face it its just a tiny ring and probably not worth that much!

I love my Blackberry Bold - I've heard people have had problems with it, but the worst problem I had was when it hung as I was doing something on the app I downloaded. I just pulled out the blackberry and turned it back on again and it was fine.

That said, I don't go downloading a lot of random apps, I now just have UberTwitter for Twitter on the BB.

I have the storm and now I'm not too sure that I like it! I thought that I would prefer a touch screen but I'm really struggling with it lol

yea the storm is a very iffy one, but the storm 2 is coming in the next quarter so hopefully it will be better

I've just joined the Blackberry revolution, with my first BB 8900 Curve. I thought it would have been complicated, but its not and i love it.

Just to think, i wanted an Iphone, but i guess i only wanted it because i've got a Macbook. I think i'll be able to sync my BB better with my macbook.

I love it!!!!!!!!
