Blackberry

i don t have one but i have a question
what does it mean when someone gives u their bb pin?? what s the use??

The BB pin is your "screenname" much like you would use AOL Instant Messenger.

BB Messenger is a form of IM that can only be done by blackberry users - and more specifically, users that you have identified as your "friend" by adding their pin.

To use BB Messenger, make sure you have it included in your service plan. If not, each IM will count as a text, and trust me, it will add up.

EDIT: Oops! Forgot to add how to use pins. Let's say you and I went to be BBM friends. I would...
1. Create a new text to you and type in "mypin" and hit SPACEBAR. Then hit send.
2. You would receive my pin code in that text instead of seeing "mypin." You then copy paste this code into my file in your address book. Scroll to the bottom of someone's entry and paste it where it says "PIN:"
3. Open BBM. Select "Add a Contact."
4. After selecting me as your friend, it'll send a verification message to me and until I confirm, I'll be listed in your BBM buddy list as "Pending." Once I accept, you're good to go!

i'm thinking about buying a bold but i'm not sure if it's a good idea because i really don't need all it's functions.
but i want it. :blush::rolleyes:

I recently got the new curve 8900 i love it, it is my baby <3
My very first BlackBerry :)

I have a little funny story about my Blackberry..
I was on my university work placement, and some other girl who was also work experience seen me on my blackberry at lunch, and she says "Ahh you have a blueberry!"
I was embarrased for her, but had to correct her!!

Also can anyone tell me what the benefits of the bold is over the curve 8900?
I went into the store wanting the bold, because everyone has the bold.
The bold was actually more expensive, but the curve 8900 was slightly smaller and had a better camera, surely that makes it a bit better than the bold? Also i think the curve 8900 is newer than the bold. Im usure if the curve 8900 is even out in the States yet?
Im new to the Blackberry world so maybe the bold has an extra benefit i just couldnt see. I did ask the store lady, but i dont think she knew alot about the Blackberry range.

i am thinking about getting a blackberry javelin instead of iphone? is javelin a good choice?

the blackberry javelin looks just like my curve 8900.
I think they may be the same :s

If they are the same, id say get it!!
It is soo good, a great quality camera and a good phone.
I was recently on a night out with my friend who had an iphone and we took a few pics and mine actually were alot better than hers when uploaded onto the computer.

The Javelin and the Curve 8900 is the same phone. It was released in the States just a few days ago, but Canada got it earlier so I've had mine for a couple months now.

I love it!! It's so easy to navigate around and keeps me organized...I would pick this over the iPhone just cause I'm not a fan of touch screen phones, but it depends on personal preference. I think one of the main differences between the Bold and the 8900 is just that the Bold has 3G...it's not really a big issue with me, so I got the 8900 instead.

I ended up getting the Curve 8900 since T mobile offered it to me as a free upgrade and I loooooove it

I'm so glad I went with a phone with a keypad rather than a touch screen, it's just much better suited for me.

I just ordered the 8900 curve by tmobile..I cant wait to get it in the mail!! my 8700 is just not cuttin it..

I just learned you can talk chat room style with your blackberry messenger. Just invite more people to your convo...that's so cool.

Is it blackberry and which model?

Hey! you blackberry owners out there, im doing a research on Madonna's blackberry! Please help me ID her model:

It seems to be Blackberry CURVE?
