Blackberry

smartarse u have the new bold 9000??? wahooo!! how was it? do u know how much is it?
i so want to have that :p
i got it through work.
it's retailed , i think around $599.00 ,but what do i care i got it free of charge.

it's really sleek! the sleekest BlackBerry i've seen, thus far.
the keypads are like other BlackBerries with the exception of the Curve.

i don't think it's out in the market yet.
however, my job pretty much get things in advance.
it's worth it for business, that's for sure.

but i love my Curve's keypads though. :(

I've been contemplating getting a BB for awhile but held off because I'm not sure what country I'll be in next year (thus don't want to commit to a new network, esp. not a cdma network). What makes the curve keypad nice? How does it differ from the new bold smartarse? I like the way the new bold looks though....

seems like loads of girls on my campus have bb's though. The only one I never liked was the pearl. seems pointless not to have the qwerty keyboard

^ Looking at the Bold, I'd say the Bold's keypad is more like the 8800's. They keys are not separated but have a slight tilt to them. Some complained about this and much preferred the Curve's (and older models') separated keys. I guess it's a personal preference.

I'd choose a Bold simply for the fact that it will be using 3G instead of EDGE. I constantly surf the net on my Blackberry, and although the speed does not bother me too much, it would be nice for pages to load significantly faster.

Meg: BlackBerry Curve's keypads are indeed separated and comfortable to the touch. easier to text. it's not spongey like the Pearl's or side-by-side keypads of the 8800's.

i dont get why college students have CrackBerries. i used it for work. mainly to get connected to my company's internal email at work or whatever you call it.

thanks for the info guys. I mean to say i like the way the new bold "looks" not "works" since obviously I don't have it!

I agree smartarse. Another reason I don't have one is I take my laptop pretty much everywhere ie. in class, to study sessions, so I don't really need another device to check my email. Wish I got enough emails to necessitate checking it constantly but alas, I'm just not that popular

ah yes, i'm waiting for the blackberry bold too. you should def. get this over the curve seahorse.

the problem is, i'm going to ask a friend to get it from me in US because it's a lot cheaper to get the unlocked version. the 8320 is like 650$ here and it's only around 380 or 400 tops on ebay. and he'll be goin to NY in june, i have no idea when this bold is out :(
smartarse, do u think i can get to buy the bold in may or june?

other than internet speed, what are the major differences between the curve and the bold?
The only provider that I know will be getting the Bold here is Rogers, and I have a personal vendetta against them..! The other networks might get it a few months later.. but that's too far away.

seahorseinstripe: i was told it'll be on sale in June in the U.S. at an AT&T wireless store.

fashion_boi_01: BlackBerry Curve is lighter, slightly smaller than the regular BlackBerry and the Bold.

it's already june and still no sign on the bold :(
i even checked on ebay, and none sell them there yet, ebay use to be my parameter LOL

Hey D! im using a blackberry and i absolutely love it. its user friendly unlike the iphone where i had a hard time with the keypad.

Its very useful to me i love that i can have YM wherever i go and i get all emails at anytime of the day, i recommend the blackberry :)

since yesterday i have a blackberry 8700... i know its a old one in america.. but here we don't have a lot of blackberry.. the phone is great.. i had a prada lg touchscreen first.. but the touchscreen doesn't work anymore soo.. only to bad that i can't messenger.. because i have another provider that i should have.. but that is because i bought the blackberry on internet

I have that exact phone and I love it!!! But I'm pretty sure there is another one coming out later in the year.

I've had a BB pearl 8130 for a while now, and I now know that I will never not have one. They are fabulous! I've never been so organized in my life. I really want a bold and am thinking about getting one once it comes out on the market, but I know I'll wait about 6 months until they fix out all the bugs and make it better!

You know what they say "Once you go Blackberry you won't back!"

i have a blackberry curve 8310 which i got last week and i love it, it is fantastic

I want to get BlackBerry 8110 Pearl, does anybody have it?? is it anygood??

^ My mom has that phone and says she loves it because of its convenient size and user-friendly interface. She mainly uses the texting and email features, but I believe there is also a camera and media player.

OMG i have been craving the pearl for the longest time. It is definitely going to be my next phone after my flip chocolate fone contract ends next feb :]

Ugh i do NOT recommend the pearl unless you are a true die hard pearl fan. First off the keypad is not convenient especial when writing emails and texting. Secondly the pearl is old and will soon be replaced by a newer version with the exception of the 8120(Its a pearl with up to date features but for the price people are selling it for you're better off getting a curve). So why spend the money on something that will be discontinued in a matter of months?

Ive had the pearl and sold it. I also had the 8800 which is cool yet boring being that there is NO camera so I switched to the curve and been in love ever since.

On another note you can change the color of your phone using colorwarepc its a pretty cool and interesting site.
