Bluefly bag-a-day giveaway....

oh and you'd be flabbergasted as to how many people put down their correct information

I do

I do that because I've entered a bunch of sweepstakes and if you look at the rules/regulations some of them state that you can't use multiple 'fake' addresses....plus, what if I actually win something huge like money and then they find out that I was using multiple addresses to enter the contest? They might use it as an excuse to take away my prize

sahrieswirl -- I'm glad to hear that you actually won something! Congrats :flower:

^^^No, its not like that. They ask you to enter OTHER people's emails for more "plays". But we're playing under our own emails.

NO way i TRUST bluefly with their bag a day stuff. Not a legitimate list, real people who win etc. We get one person here who claims to have won. Do we actually know who it is? She can very well be a bluefly worker.

To make this thing believable , if I was Bluefly, I would get publicity on this. You know have magazine interviews with the winners, etc. You do not hear about this give away unless you go to the web site itself. It is not POSTED or advertised in any fashion magazines.

^I agree, unless I see a more specific list I'm not buying it. A first name and a state really doesn't convince me that these are infact real people. Aren't there rules against this? I know that to have a legal lottery here, you need to arrange to have a cop supervising when you select the winners, and make a list of winners public (full name so that it's possible to check that they did infact give away prizes) or available by request.

^Yes Keya, you would think that they would have an authorized person/notary whatever. No such thing though. Winner Jane Doe from Washington does not cut it for me.

Bamboozled!

No, I think it'd be a legitimate contest if after you selected a bluefly shopping bag and it did NOT have a participating handbag in it they show you the other two and where the handbag really is. I read the "Official Rules" of the contest and it said basically that not everyone who plays has a chance to win a top prize. Meaning that for mostly all of us who play, the shopping bag is filled with a 10% off or free shipping and not that sick Balenciaga handbag they dooped us into thinking we could possibly get for free. I also played from 3 different email addresses, lol, which they also discuss in the Official Rules.

We were just being bamboozled into going to bluefly everyday specifically thinking we're gonna win something when in reality they just want to stimulate sales by giving away measily 10% off's and free shipping.

My Bluefly Giveaway Prize came today!!!

I posted about this when I won and lots of people asked for pictures when it arrived!! Well, it came today and it's hugeee!!
Lots of people didn't believe that it was actually real, but just a way for them to collect e-mail addresses. They were way wrong.

Very nice. Congrats. Is that the one you choose or do they just send random ones?

The bags were awarded randomly. I can't even remember which I clicked on. But they only really kept displaying the same 6 bags for the game, there were really 45 different ones you could have won.

Just an interesting note, I was also looking at Marc Jacobs bags on Ebay and someone had a black Venetia up for auction. Although they didn't mention that it was from Bluefly, I saw that they had the box and the papers and the tissue from Bluefly and also something that made it seem like it was part of the contest so I figured it wasn't all a hoax. I wish I saved that item number!

hmmm bluefly didnt give away a MJ Venetia so maybe they just bought it from the website.
