i dont know why but nothing that Koma does either in his own brand or in blumarine evokes anything in me, even if i see something without knowing that its by him. go figure
im sure he has his clientele but im confused how he has success working in 2 rather big brands.... i know he was at mugler before but to me hes a solid no2
I think it’s fantastic.
I was scared because he is not very known for flour and Blumarine is very flou and he delivered.
Girls stomping on the runway, freedom, sensuality, perfect.
It really gave me the feeling of good Peter Dundas at Ungaro and the early days of Pucci.
I liked some looks, but I think a number of looks overdid the butterfly motif- and i say that as someone who looooooves butterflies lol. But he def needed more restraint imo. I did love the more abstract butterfly inspired patterns(on the pink flowy dresses), and the spotted cats too… reminded me of Spring 2011 which I own a dress from! I wish the collection was more of that and less of the literal swarms that just feel very last minute 4th grade art project. The Rahul Mishra knockoff also seemed odd to moi, altho it is cute.
That’s what I immediately thought! I am obsessed with those skirts and the ad campaign of that collection with Julia Roberts since I was a teen! Masterful, one of my favorite pieces ever!
