Special Edition “Americans in China” Model Wall: Bonnie Chen
On Friday, Chinese models will walk in a massive runway show at the Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics Park for Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, and Marchesa. Vogue asked a few of them to share their favorite hometown spots. And while they don’t agree on everything (i.e., where to shop), on one point, they’re unanimous: It’s all about authentic Chinese hotpot.

Favorite city in China:
Beijing. You see how the West meets the East. It is so fascinating.
Favorite place to shop:
Sanlitun has all the shops from fast fashion to high luxury. You can also find the best tailors there who can make anything you like.
Favorite restaurant for traditional Chinese food: Duck de Chine in the 1949 Complex. It has the best Peking duck and the most chic atmosphere in the city.
Favorite thing to do:
Walking around the art galleries in 798, boating at Houhai, shopping for antiques at Panjiayuan, having a cup of coffee in a little alley called a hutong, watching Beijing opera, having tea at Yaxiu Market, and hanging out at the shops, restaurants, and bookstores in Sanlitun Village.
Long-distance travel look:
Hoodies, leggings, and trainers. Colorful ones!
