Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt stopped by the Lehmann Maupin Gallery to check out their Sandro Kopp exhibit in NYC last night. Sandro is a German artist and the boyfriend of Tilda Swinton, who worked with Brad on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Burn After Reading. Brad's been making the rounds chatting up Moneyball in the Big Apple all week including a stop by the Today show and The Daily Show. He also visited Pace University to tape an episode of Inside the Actors Studio, which will air on Feb. 10.

Brad is, as usual, hotness incarnate.

But man-o-man! I wish he'd win something for his acting; he never does, and yet he is so consistent, always putting in solid-to-excellent performances.

If I could pick, he would be my first choice for the Oscar; Gary Oldman would be second... Clooney would be last!! :judge:

ITA. I don't know what is the deal with the academy...well at least he got a nomination (unlike Fassy and Gosling). He is probably my favourite actor, he knows how to pick great stories AND interesting characters. I love how most of the time he picked very quite one and express their turmoil so well (The tree of life is IMO his best performance ever), he is a great actor and I am sure people will remember him in decades.

I know^^ He is an amazing actor. His extremely diverse! Think of Se7en to Mr and Mrs Smith to Curious Case of BB.
For this award season..I think Brad gave two of the most incredible performances of last year! His performance in Moneyball was amazing. He brought substance to a role that could have been so cliched. Its a role that not just any actor could play.

Check out Brad Pitt‘s portrait in Time‘s 2012 Oscar portfolio!

The 48-year-old actor joined other Academy Award nominees for the feature, which was shot by Sebastian Kim who showcased and highlighted the year’s best performers.

During his sit-down interview, Brad talked about a film he loves, The Jericho Mile, his own movie Moneyball, and how “it’s shameful how little I know baseball.”

^ Eww not the best portrait. The hair isn't good and the finishing on the photo is not flattering imo.

I agree re: Moneyball - if someone like Kevin Costner played that role, the film would've been boring but Brad humanizes the role, the final scene in the car, with the close ups - I actually teared up! And his co-star was equally good. I am going to watch Tree of Life this weekend.

^I agree. I teared up as well during those last moments in the film. Brad does a phenomenal job!

He looks creepy in that portrait!

I didn't love his Inside the Actors Studio appearance...I waited so long for him to do it and it was such a let down. He didn't seem to want to open up and didn't take it that seriously, plus they wasted so much time promoting Moneyball. James just flew through his early work, ignoring so many good works! No juicy stories, nothing! No wonder it was aired on a Friday...I thought that was odd, but now I get it. It's a throw-away ep.

It definitely should have been two hours. The childhood pictures at the beginning were so cute though.

I was really surprised some of the early work they breazed through and passed by on the Actors Studio! They didn't talk about Fight Club, INterview with a Vampire, Legends of the fall or Troy! and like Luxxx said, there were NO juicy stories at all! Very bummed!
