Brooke Fraser is a singer-songwriter-person. She makes the kind of music that sounds like a pop marshmallow has dropped into a folk hot chocolate and become a warm, spicy chocolatey broth. She has two albums ‘What to Do With Daylight’ (2003) and ‘Albertine’ (2006 - NZ, 2007 - Aus, 2008 - USA) which both debuted at #1 in her home country and between them have reached 13 x platinum sales and achieved seven #1 airplay singles. 2008 sees the release of ‘Albertine’ in North America and Brooke touring extensively with her band of merry men (+ one woman) from June through September.

I Brooke Fraser!!! She is probably my favorite female singer of all. There is not one song from her that i dont like, every single one is awesome!!! And she truly sings from the heart!

Loved-up Kiwi songbird Brooke Fraser is getting married early next year. Her musician boyfriend Scott Ligertwood popped the question while the pair were touring last month with Christian band Hillsong United.
And the couple are planning to tie the knot this summer in Sydney.
"He's my husband-to-be and it's just amazing," Brooke, 23, told Sunday News.
"We were in Europe for all of September and he planned this whole day in Stockholm to ask me to marry him.
"He designed the ring himself and it fits perfectly.
"I didn't have any hesitation in saying yes."
The pair are both active members of Hillsong Church in Sydney, where Wellington-born Brooke is now based.
"We'll be getting married in this old church in Sydney and it'll be quite intimate," she said.
"Just really close friends and family."
Brooke is back in her homeland for a national tour before heading off to America next month.
On Thursday she was at the New Zealand Music Awards in Auckland, where she walked up the red carpet with 24-year-old Scott on her arm.
She later picked up the gongs for Highest Selling Album and Airplay Record Of The Year for Deciphering Me.
"It all seems a little bit crazy," said the singer, who is the daughter of legendary All Black Bernie Fraser. "But these awards mean so much to me."
Brooke was up against fellow songstress Hollie Smith in a couple of awards including Best Female Solo Artist, taken out by Smith. But there is no bad feeling between the two with Brooke even admitting she'd be keen to work with her rival, who is also from Wellington.
"We're pretty different but if the opportunity came about it'd be great," Brooke said.

I never knew Brooke had a thread here. That's really cool!! She was my favorite singer for many many years.. but now I haven't listened her for almost 2 years.. but it made me think that maybe I should do it again.
