Bruno Pieters F/W 08.09 Paris

The colors are to die for. and the elizabethan looking collars, paired with such otherwise modern silhouettes, I love it.

the ruff collar doesn't bode well for someone with short neck. other than that the collection is good.

I like the suits at the beginning, but I hate the collars and metallics. Why do we have metallics still anyway? I was hoping transparency would take over trendwise.

i really like the masculine jackets and trousers in the beginning and the great coats at the end, but the the shiny stuff isn't too appealing. but i like pretty much everything else in the collection.

well, bruno isn't a trend follower though. and he's been using metallics as a signature since the beginning of his amazingly short career--not the instant it became a trend--so i hardly expect him to abadon it completely.

Strange collection; I was distracted by last season's Nars lip looks. Yet there are a couple of pieces here--the more banal ones to be sure--that I would wear and that I feel transcend statement and season. Don't care for ruffs; I don't see where they enhance anything. While an argument can be made for their creating a portrait collar for the face, they always seem superfluous and far too decorous for my taste..

I'm slightly underwhelmed actually...aside from the gorgeousness of the Elizabethan pleated collars and the tailored, shimmy pieces:heart:, the boxy and mannish looks seem out of place and very un-Pieters for me...:ninja:

I can always count on Bruno for the tailored pieces. Very nice.

oh, nice men's tailoring there, really my thing
like the details on some of the jackets

The tailoring is terrific.
The ruffs for the show.
The focus on grey a total mistake.
It's had its moment for 3 years running. Even a slight nuance would have been better.

I LOVE this!!!!:woot::woot::woot: The collars are really gorgeous...I have a thing for Elizabethan ruffs and collars.:heart:

I thought it was really beautiful, the shiny things were bizarr. The music was really gloomy, but beautiful...specially towards the end...but was is this new thing not giving out press maps?

Totally eclipses the menswear collection, imo - by far...
So incredibly androgynous... romantic... nostalgic...
yet unmistakably modern and fresh...
There are a couple duds but so many essential elements are present...
Bruno's impressive attention to detail and line...
His unfaltering use of metallics.. and grey... ^_^
Absolutely glorious, this is...
