Just got a cute black cotton eyelet mini from Luella for Target :flower:

That's cute! My only worry is that the volume of these skirts will not be flattering on me. (Read: make my behind look big)

Just what I don't need. A skirt to make my *** look bigger.

I have one which I totally, totally adore. It's from Topshop. Since I don't have those figures which render minis gorgeous, this one's perfect. It falls to slightly below knee length. And the material, oooooooh, it's silk, which makes the fall beautiful, and the volume all at the bottom.

Plus I got it in such a rich forest green, it's just divine.

I just wore it last week, and my female colleagues swooned over it.

I do like this trend much, much more than the huge (but brief, yes?) miniskirt trend from a while ago. I just felt weird trying to wear a skirt that was the same length as my baby cousin's...

I have so many of these kind of skirts - I love them knee length or mini length - actually poofy anything is good for me!

^^^And they look so good on you, Susie Bubble! May I ask where you get them from?

spiralsnowman: i ordered that first one you posted from alloy.com and didn't like it...it was short, like a miniskirt...
didn't look good on me...

i have a solid black pleated one from a.byer...they sell the line at macy's...and it was under $40
i also have a red/black/cream striped one from marc by marc that i got in september...

i think they look better if they hit at the knee or just below, but that's my opinion...

there are some really "cute" ones at H&M. that is if you're going for a younger look..

Me too! I saw a lady at the post office, of all places, wearing a really poufy black one, and she looked chic and fabulous... its motivated me to see if I can carry one off too.

I have the exact same one shown above by Punkyfish that I bought it last summer.

You can wear it alone or with tights/pants/jeans under...that's how I wore it (don't know if anyone does that anymore..) because I find it a bit short to wear alone.
