I just bought this, for that slightly dishevelled, bed-head look I can only usually achieve with day old hair. Does anyone have it? What's the best way to use it?

I spray it on dry hair with my head upside down and then scrunch it. It looks nice for about an hour and then my hair is back to normal. I have stick straight hair so that might be the problem. Hope this helps.

^ In that case, have you found anything that works? I too use some gel on my hair, nice for a couple of minutes, but the minute I stepped out of the house, my hair comes down all flat.

I used to use this when my hair was longer and I loved it! How long is your hair? And what look are you going for? Maybe a wax (like Magic Move) would be good... :flower:

John Freida has some chunky stuff that does the trick pretty well... I can't recall the name offhand...

Have you ever tried Molding Mud? It works pretty well for that look.

With JF beach blonde, the trick is to decant off about half of the oil. Not too much, or the salt will give you crunchy hair. You'll still get the same effect :)

impossibleprincess - if you have long hair, I think the best thing would be for you to spray it all over your hair, twist your hair into ropes (not too thick, not too thin or you'll get rats-tails), leave for a while to dry completely and then run your fingers through it.

I used to love these sprays but since my hair is so lank it looked a bit odd being stuck flat to my head at the top and then curly at the end. I looked like a springer spaniel caught in the rain

I've had the same problems with John Frieda's Beach Blonde spray because I never can get that cool effect unless I put some in, wait for a bit after scrunching and blowdrying, and then repeat. With a limited amount of time before school...

i just wanted to revive this thread because i love this product... i tried to buy more today but they were all sold out!

does anyone have any creative tips for how they use this product? i use it on my wet hair, then dry with a diffuser to get waves. my hair is normally stick-straight, so this is quite a feat.
it's also great to use when you know you'll be putting your hair up - it gives it so much 'tooth' and holds the style so well.
