Does anyone know how i can achieve this look hairwise?

It's the one fromt eh very begginning of BAT, with the updo and the looong black dress. i have NO idea how to do it OR post a pic so any help is appreciated!

It shouldn't be too difficult actually. Here's a picture to get you started.

It looks like they used some chunky blond highlights, short bangs, a simple updo and a piece of jewelry to top it off. A better picture...

My Mom used to wear her hair like that and she told me that it was a hair piece. Put your hair in a high pony tail, attach a matching hair piece and wrap it around like a bun. You can create lots of gorgeous hair styles with hair pieces but it is very important that they match perfectly.

do you think that if i did a ponytail off the the left with a diagonal part ( to get eh piece in the front) then did a french twist and teased it it would work?

To me that looks like a low ponytail twisted upwards then the ends tucked in a bit.

I've posted this before on another hair thread but I never got a response

I know there must be a ton of girls here who can do this style but I have been unsuccessful so far.

Picture from Facebook.com but I edited and reuploaded it on my own.

I think it involves a lot of teasing and hairspray and bobby pins but

1. I have fine asian hair that doesn't tease very well! Perhaps I'm not doing it right
2. I can't get bobby pins to stay up like that

This is a gorgeous but simple hairstyle and would appreciate anybody who can help me out.

Does anyone know an easy way to get my hair wavy like this? My hair is really fine like Ellen's so I thought this might give it some more body.
