Burberry Prorsum S/S 2011 by Mario Testino

Random question, but is there a reason the guys don't get a mention in the thread titles? Seems a bit odd.

Thats what i just thought, so i tried to edit the title but with the cast list it's too long to include all the names now, so far we have (except the new ad that you posted today) :

Cara, Jourdan, Sophie, Tali, Matthew, Sacha, Tara, Jacob.

and more blondes. i know i sound like a broken record, but what is it with Bailey and casting basically only blonde white girls in his campaigns? i know that he likes those ad campaigns to represent the UK but clearly there's not such an overwhelming number of blonde girls there, is there now?

no redheads? no SE asians? no indians FFS? and only ONE brunette girl, who so happens to be the daughter of a rockstar.

this campaign could have been a great chance to highlight the versatility of the british modeling scene, but no, they go with blonde after blonde.

The campaign starts well, at least with the first two couples, but this last it's just meh, i don't see the charisma in the couple (mostly in the male model), it's just another-one. At least the female model looks interesting, lets see the rest of the shoots.

Part of the british culture lies in the diversity of races you can find in the country, this would have been the perfect campaign to prove it, I hope the brand get relax a bit and start to show more diversity in their future castings.

i don't think we'll get a lot more shots. guess it'll be one couple more, don't Pre-Fall ads start in July mags? unless Burberry isn't doing Pre-Fall ads, then this might go well into August...

I hope this is the last of them now, there was no need to have so many couples they should of just stuck with the first 3 and just stretched it out.

I agree with you, it's going down ...

white people together...
black together...

HELLO ???? Am I the only one shocked here ?????

I agree completely with the lack of charisma after the first three couples (I quite liked Tali's shots.) Anyway, here's the accompanying video for Johnny Flynn and Karen Anne.
