The lion a bit kitsch but it saves the campaign from being a regular perfume ad

Was expecting something totally different because of the fragrance's name. Love Kirsten but this looks pretty laughable. Assuming it's also by Mert and Marcus.

How does Italian jeweller Bulgari top campaigns starring naked Julianne Moore alongside a sulphur-crested cockatoo and the next season, some adorable lion cubs? With a campaign for the company's brand new Mon Jasmin Noir fragrance starring another naked American actor, Kirsten Dunst, opposite... a full-grown lion. Behold what frockwriter understands is an exclusive preview of Bulgari's Mon Jasmin Noir campaign that is being released later today. It was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at Villa Balbianello in the exquisite Lake Como region just outside of Milan. Working alongside lion cubs is one thing, but even with the behind-the-scenes imagery (below), we're not convinced that Dunst happily nestled snugly against a real lion and/or that Mert + Marcus managed to get both it and Dunst to 'love the camera' at the same moment - and that's it's not a Photoshop mashup. Then again, Dunst is an old hand with big cats. Some movie sites list her as the voice of young Nala in Disney's 1994 animated feature The Lion King (IMDB has Nikete Calame voicing the role). The following year, she co-starred in Jumanji, opposite Robin Williams and some scary - albeit computer-generated - lions.

This is completely in line with their image and a perfect continuation of their campaign with Julianne Moore. Could this have been executed better? Yes, but based on what we've seen so far I don't find the images to be as bad as everyone else seems to.

ugh i saw this yesterday. idk..maybe if it didn't look sooo fake. i'm just confused by the whole thing. why the lion? i mean lions are cool lol but what does it have to do with the perfume?

Narnia's really been hit hard by the recession, so for me, it's not a surprise to see Aslan in this campaign. Although I hear he insisted on a clause in his contract where he wouldn't have to inhabit the same universe as Kirsten Dunst when the actual photograph was being taken.

People say he's very demanding, but given her cigarette habit, I can see how he'd be concerned about his fur stinking of smoke, because it wouldn't be a great example to all those children randomly wandering around his magical realm.

brilliant

i like it. quite a bit actually. it looks like one of those classical italian paintings from the renaissance.

might probably be because of the hair and the lion.

Kirsten looks devine, but what's up with that fake lion? They should've left him out

They should stop using fake animals and photoshop them on the background
