Givenchy "Dahlia Noir" Fragrance : Mariacarla Boscono by Mert & Marcus

But it could have been a coincidence? lol

Somehow it's hard for me to believe it's a pure coincidence, considering there was a movie and even when you google Dahlia Noir, you can see the pictures of the victim. Not sure if that's a perfect motif to play with, really

I love the imagery of this campaign but I agree with everyone else, I didn't like the fact that they played with such a horrid, dark and sensitive matter. I purely believed this isn't a coincidence.

it sure fits right in with Tisci's world and aesthetics, but to deliberately allude to a brutal murder, imo that's just distasteful.

On one hand using 'Noir Dahliah' extremely disrespectful and distasteful on the other hand its a really beautiful and mysterious name. Now got mixed feelings about the name and even more so since I connect perfume and murder to Patrick Süskind's book, "Das Parfum" (I don't the book was based on anything particular though).

Yeah definitely. It's like of ALL the things you could have picked, it had to be this? This is one of the things I REALLY hate about art and photography. Some people just don't know how to respect boundaries.

hope it smells good. that's the important thing.
i'm gonna give it to my girlfriend.

What a great fragrance ad. She looks like a dark angel here.

Am I the only one who thinks the bottle looks a little out of place? Also I think the design of it doesn't correspond that well with the mood of the campaign...

Actually, MCB outshines the bottle IMO......talking about the smell, guess it's loyal to the demand of wanna-be-tough market

The bottle isn't terrible. I think it's the pinkness of the fragance that looks out of place in the gothic campaign. Clear would have looked great. MCB is magnificent. This campaign actually makes me want to go out and buy the fragrance.

Great campaign but the bottle design is really boring.

Edit: Agree with above posters.

I think if people can make movies out of crimes and writte novels about them a designer can pretty much be inspired by it for a perfume, I personally would have probably never even think about it and that makes it even more interesting and appealing to me, the name is very catchy and I loved how they descrived it as a "fatal floral".

At the end Ricardo at least thought and created a concept around a perfume that pushes the envelope forward and that is one hard task to achieve in an industry like this.

I like the bottle, it´s pretty elegant looking and I like the pink cause I think represents the feminine side that collides with that more misterious, gothic one.

Hopefully the scent will be as thought and produced as the rest of Dahlia Noir, an even more difficult task to fulfill nowadays.

this is really beautiful ad. any reviews about the fragrance?

With this intense look, I couldn't imagine MCB doing commercial works. Hehe!
