Calvin Klein Jeans S/S 2017 by Willy Vanderperre

Love.

Kiki and Jonas are so great together. Don't like Lulu but that shot of her is amazing.

This is a win. Feels fresh, great casting. Makes me want a pair of CK jeans, success.

None of these people make me want to buy jeans.
No sex appeal, no beauty, no color, no nothing.

My thoughts exactly. This is boring and dull.
I do like some of the casting choices tho. But overall, lifeless campaign. A big no.

By the way, can they stop with the ''Kiki and Jonas'' thing already?

Even though it's a really tired concept, I mean teen aged models will always mention their parents as the biggest influence, who else could have made an impact on their relatively short lives?, Kiki and Nathalie really got to me. Especially the latter made my stone black heart soft for a nano second. Great work photographically. Will I run out and by CK jeans? God, no.

I for one am so happy sex is out of the marketing equation here. The desperate attempts to sell CK jeans with sex the last couple of years was super lame, draining and utterly unsuccessful, except for Imaan's work.

So boring. I'm sure there are ways to have nice concepts and still sell sex.

Agreed! It's funny how people have come to demand sex in jeans campaigns, when in reality it's not a product that really need it, or is particularly sexy. It's just how CK has successfully used sex to sell its products. Jeans are the ultimate daywear and casualwear clothes, and it has a very urban attitude. That's what I think this campaign captures so well. It's simple, feels current and relevant and it actually makes you look at the jeans instead of the models bodies and their orgasm poses.

Raf's CK is absolutely nailing the ad campaign game so far.

It doesn't always need to scream SEX but this campaign isn't very dynamic either.

The twinks of america will love the first shot though. :ninja:

Boring level Maximum. It doesn't have to be all about sex but with the budget you have, you gotta come up with something creative instead of amateurish black &white photos that are in every hippie college students' instagram.

Totally agree. When I want to buy jeans I want to see how they will look on regular people (like myself and these models) and not some half naked hot babe. Of course it's nice to see from time to time but it's not realistic.

I'll take simple, image-defining portraits and a personable representation of people over any hazy ideal of sex or love or whatever any day. Love this.

While I know that this concept isn't new at all, I think it's a good campaign, especially for the collection that wasn't designed by Raf's team. At least it's fresh and simple. I just don't get the appeal of the guy from the first pic.

Ew, can someone pass me the barf bag? I'm officially fed up with the corny Kiki & Jonas! Who do these two think they are? I cannot on a good day stand overly affectionate couples. And was that his 'seductive' voice?? Her print shot is the best of the lot though.
I am even more in love with Natalie Westling now! That body language. One can tell she's got a solid head on her shoulders. She gave the most interesting answers without putting on airs (Kiki) or coming across as an airheaded tween (Lulu!). Lucky Vittoria!
Selena Forrest also seems cool, natural, and very dte. These two sell the video campaign for me, which I actually prefer over the print one.

Very boring... though I do like Natalie and Selena's shots...

CK last campaign improved their sales by 4%...pretty sure this will have the opposite effect...

I don't think any one their new campaign under Raf is remotely interesting if you don't care much about the Raf as new director of CK buzz.
The brand is about sex appeal as it has established its brand identity over years time. Most people within US market and international market view CK as one of the brand that represents the sexy part of US culture. This and the new underwear billboard are just painfully ignoring the brand identity. It is almost an insult.
