She has an editorial for US Vogue, which will sadly be her last one for a while due to their new age policy (unless they already shot other ones ahead of time).

What are their new age policies? Last I heard it was 16... did that change? I can't find anything online about it.

18, they changed last week:

All models appearing in fashion shoots must be at least 18 years old. The only exceptions that will be made are for subjects appearing as themselves as part of a profile or news story, who will be required to have a chaperone with them on set at all times.

When I heard this I immediately thought of Cara And Kaia Gerber. Both are young and rising stars in this business. I find it difficult to believe that American Vogue and all the international editions of Vogue will be willing to leave these 2 out of their editorials (or covers) for over a year.

I am not sure how many months in advance each photo shoot is done, but I guess by late spring we will know how committed Condé Nast is to enforcing their new policy.

I am a bit torn as I think this is a good rule in the long run, but Cara is already a Vogue model and you only get one shot at being the hot new face in this business. I think any under 18’s who were already getting Vogue editorial and cover work should be exempt under a grandfather clause to allow them to work, but mandate that they must be chaperoned at all times while on set. Otherwise, this rule has the potential to damage the careers of many young models.

I hope Cara will maintain her momentum, regardless of whether this rule is enforced or not.

^ Sara Grace, Lulu, and Kris Grikaite also came to mind.

I feel like she shouldn’t be wearing sheer things because she’s not off age. But maybe I’m overreacting.

Sadly I think Kaia will be fine, contrary to the other girls cited on this page, as she fits the "subjects appearing as themselves as part of a profile or news story"

Hard to believe sometimes that's she's only 16. Especially when you see her looking so fierce, confident and strong on the runway.
But when she opens her mouth, you can see she's a little girl, so charming and lovely.

She's such a spectacular model in my eyes.
