Cara Taylor

glad she's doing good and i like the hair! rooting for this one i think she will make it to top newcomers

she reminds me of Elise Crombez a bit and is clearly stunning but her expressions are a bit off
She definitely does remind me of Elise, too! And as a huge fan of Elise, I'm definitely feeling Cara. She was such a standout at Prada.

I really love her androgynous look and athletic frame...like Elise, she's got wide those wide shoulders....very early 00's type of girl.

I really am loving seeing these more mature looking and gorgeous, yet still interesting, girls start to show up...like Kris who popped up at Prada with a haircut, too, but also Vittoria, who's turning out to be the star of the season. A very welcome -and long overdue- change of aethetics in my opinion.

Let's hope the industry and the agencies realize what stars they've been finding this past season and really help groom them to be both runway and editorial forces. That's another thing that's been missing in modeling for many years now - really investing and educating their top girls.

It's always nice seeing the old favorites pop up on the runway, but I hope the industry realized they're sitting on some potential icons here with the looks for long and notable careers...let's give them the support they need to achieve that!

This girl is growing on me so much. I'm obsessed with her tomboy/androgynous look.

Anyone know what happened with the rest of her season? She seemed to be off to such a strong start but then disappeared in Paris after Dior.

Can't wait to see what she books in the upcoming months.

Sportmax S/S 17

She returned home yesterday according to her tagged Instagram photos, she's still quite young, I think I read something on her Instagram about her finishing high school online.

I was wondering the exact same thing. Surprised she didn't show up at Miu Miu.

Anyway, I'm excited for her, too! Looking forward to see her print work and hopefully some campaigns.

Top Newcomers S/S 2017 - First season

Cara from Alabama put her bold visage to good work for her first season, taking off after an exclusive and transformative debut in Alexander Wang. Her running start continued city to city as jaunts down the catwalk for Prada, Jil Sander and Loewe followed. Closing Dior served as a fabulous book end to the perfect start.

Cara Taylor

Hometown: Huntsville, Alabama

SS17 Highlights: Alexander Wang, Prada, and Dior

Spring 2017 has been a whirlwind for Southerner Cara Taylor, whose career has had her switching hair colors, lengths, and styles all in the name of the job; going blonde for a nanosecond for Alexander Wang; testing out the Prada bob and those Dior updos, too. Taylor’s refined look lends itself to variety, which means she’s in for even more changes once photographers get a hold of her.

She's AMAZING! That first portrait in the post above is truly gorgeous. That's a model. She's got a story behind her eyes.
