Carine Roitfeld - Stylist

^thank you Richard. I want to buy this book even more now. It's very interesting.

Don't have the money to buy the book, I just browsed through it in my bookstore. Loved most, if not all, her work with Testino.

I got myself a copy, but I was going to get one for a family member for the holidays and completely sold out everywhere...again! Ha! Hopefully the print run is extended. I keep checking Amazon.

I have heard it's not that amazing as everybody is praying, as afterall, there's nothing new in it, only print work that we have already seen? Anybody can confirm this?

^Confirm what ? The book is made up of a mixture of her work and personal photographs and notes, emails and messages from various Designers and also an on going interview with Olivier Zahm and questions from other industry figures, which i've already said!

The book IS as good as me and everyone else have been saying.

I agree and honestly I haven't even been that big of a fan of hers lately and I bought it right away.

The book really showcases her definite and unique point of view. It has it all: fashion, style, culture, inspiration. On every page you will see the creative freedom she so covets. It will definitely become a collectors item. If you're a fan, you'll only regret later that you didn't buy it. Just like you might have regretted not buying that issue of Vogue Paris.

Thanks for those snaps CC :flower: I have other Rizzoli books (Lanvin, Valentino) and they are so well presented. I'm glad she went with them. Sadly I'm still on the wait list for this :(

Idk, maybe its just me but I haven't seen some of the earlier Testino editorials published in that book anywhere... and there's the feature about her family of course.

Chanelcouture09, thanks for the heads up though it's sold out. My bookstore has plenty of stock (to my relief), too bad about the price.

my mom just told me she ordered me irreverant for christmas and then barnes and noble delayed the order, then cancelled it. IM SO MAD!

Is it me or has the price of her book increased? I remember it having the possibility to pre-order it for less than 100€ on the French AMAZON, and now it's up to 120€...

Irreverent is an astounding book, I was thrilled to receive it for Christmas. I've read comments about the poor paper quality, so was optimistic to have a look myself, and I find it acceptable, complimenting of Carine's work at a magazine. Everything about the book is immaculate, polished and edited to perfection. The layouts included are Carine's finest, and the commentary regarding the chosen images is sooo interesting.
