Born in Italy in 1980. Carlotta moved to the States to enroll in the Rhode Island school
of degign where she received a BFA in Fine Arts/ Photography in 2003.

Currently she works as a photographer in New York City and spends her time between the
States and Europe. Her work has appeared in publications such as Wonderland, Nylon,
Details V., RollingStone Italia, Studiovoice Japan and the Blow Up magazines.
Her personal work has been exhibited in gallery shows in Mexico City (proyectos Monclova)
and in Paris.

Her work deals with the representation of moments of intimacy in everyday life.
the image making is intensely physical and plays with the ability to be allowed in the most
private moments, or solitude, of the subjects who are portrayed in their strength and
weaknesses, in the beauty, anxiety and decadence of their fleeting youth.

quite beautiful and soft, but still there's a feeling of distance to some of the pictures that makes them interesting, thanks mullet.

I know what you mean, I love the "cold" romanticism that seems to be in most of her photographs in bigger or lesser degree.

...the things you hide from all the rest....:innocent:

psst, you're welcome, whitelinen.

ah well considering the amount of neglected threads of mine that swim in this here pond ...:P
*plays dramatic cello tune*

yes, i was hesitating to use the world 'cold' but cold romanticism is good.
