PART 2
No to alcohol and cigarettes.
We heard that you fainted backstage during the Fashion Week.
I didn't faint.
But still there were rumours that you were expecting...
After my holiday in Italy, where I most and forehand went because of the food, I went to NY for the FW. It was cool. A lot of work, tons of people working around you. Love it. Then we flew to Milan. We were so busy all the time, there's this electric tension in the air, no time to eat. A few years ago I could be a whole day without eating and work, work, work, but as you get older food becomes more of a priority than it previously was.
And I didn't have time eat that day - at all. For some reason they're giving models less and less to eat backstage. They used to have sandwiches, pizzas, salads, fruits. But at the Prada show they didnt have anything. I didn't have anything to eat but sugar, so I had to eat sugar. Pure sugar. I was feeling so faint.
But I have a principle, when I'm at work, I work. I am not gonna be one of those primadonnas who never delivers. And I did strut the catwalk, just seconds before I saw on screen that there were PETA protestors on stage. Normally this kind of thing annoys me, but I was actually kinda glad they were there, cos noone would be looking at my pale face.
At the middle of the catwalk, I was feeling really bad. All my strength seemed to have gone. There were mirrors and flashlights around me, it made me feel dizzy. I didn't want to ruin the show and I knew that no matter what I had to make it backstage, so I finished my catwalk, did a few poses and quickly went backstage. I kneeled on the floor and put my head against the wall. I didn't fall, I passed out for like 2 seconds.
After the show someone asked me if i was pregnant, I answered: It would be a nice change, guess that's how the rumours started, hehe.
People are saying that you've quit smoking and drinking.
Pff, I wouldn't get too much into that. I've researched both smoking and drinking, their influences on the human body. Not only for scientific reasons, but for my own knowledge. I know what's happening to me and why. If you're drunk there are so many awkward situations. It's all a waste of time. I could spend the time working rather than being drunk. And that said, I haven't quit them completely.
Such drastic measures, have you ever been in an awkward situation because of alcohol?
Not directly. But I want to prevent them, that they wouldn't occur. I don't like watching drunk people or be in their company, it's grotesque. But it's even worse when you haven't drunk anything, so I guess you have to take something (laughs)
Is drinking in the places and circuits you work in as popular as it is in Estonia?
Oh yes, it is.
And not only drinking, I presume...
It's the same everywhere, regardless of place, occupation and level of wealth. Drugs, alcohol and smoking. That said, I've never seen anyone inhale cocaine or do drugs. Yes, I've seen people do weed, but that's about it.

I'm glad she pointed out FTV's inaccuracies, haha...
Karma! It was a fascinating read...I definitely agree, ChinaLove.
And I love how she aims to stay high fashion. No wonder I don't really see her doing VS print work...And its great she's able to see through Hollywood's frivolity and remain so down to earth. Haha sorry for gushing but I loved this interview!

that ad is from Vogue march2006.
