I don’t know if it’s a compliment for Carolina Herrera.
It's not horrible but it lacks that refined elegance and sophistication I always associated with CH.
Also, this distorted photography needs to die in a fire. It doesn't make it hip just because you made the model's whole body look smaller than the left ear.
The dress on Alek, McQueen gown from A/W 2005...
No...Balenciaga 1951 Mermaid dress...
McQueen was probably referencing that dress
Of course he was. He was always referencing the masters but let's not attribute to him the credits of the greats...
Can't think of a single good thing to say about this collection and I'm actually a fan of Gordon. I feel like CH and ODLR should be extra careful when it comes to these floor-length voluminous looks because it has been done to death by Pierpaolo over the last few years. There's nothing new to tell anymore.
The belt with the heart buckle looks so cheap, and everything else like some pre-fall collection that nobody will buy.
^The hearts bring to mind that Ungaro show that shall not be named!
Giving all the crap we have endured since then, can we re-evaluate that collection?
Even professional designers have lowered their standard below that collection!
These patterns really cheapen everything, eek.
