Can I say that I find Gordon's take on old school glamour much more refreshing to the eye than most would-be avantgarde infesting NYFW?

Delightful indeed, a total breath of fresh air from everything else we're currently seeing during New York Fashion Week. This collection was just flawless from start to finish. There's flow, there's coherence, there's elegance and refinement... the list goes on!

his work is inoffensive and himself a natural fit for the brand.

however, some of those evening looks towards the end aren't working for me. the flow was interrupted a bit due to the sharp shoulder work, when the rest was billowy and round. if those elements remained soft, it would've been better. also, the 12th look here, the grey turtle neck dress, could've been axed. unnecessary.

overall, not bad.

Ugh, there's ALWAYS time for the classics. This is so beautifully made. I love how AMERICAN it is.

It's giving elitist nepo-baby First Lady. Yes honey this that good Caucasian money.

Very classic and to the point, perfectly made too. Could do with a slight edit here and there but there is a lot to enjoy about this collection. The presentation is a bit mundane and could do with something more intimate and elevated to highlight the aristocratic socialite presence these clothes have. Although hard nowadays to have something initmate where it is required to invite everyone and everything to the shows for the sake of social media and schmoozing.

One main gripe: the knit tube dress on Celina Ralph isn't very flattering on her, especially in that grey. It really sticks out when compared to the rest.

as a fall proposition it's missing actual f/w clothing. who is wearing a golden yellow hued dress in November NYC? Maybe in Italy... but CH is a NYFW label. Theres only one coat and one cape. Otherwise it's a great collection that seems well assembled and feels like Carolina Herrera. None of these looks are particularly new, just a coherent collection of gala and cocktail wear for the NY lady.
