I understand that and found myself nodding along with your first comment when I first clicked on the thread. I just find his propositions lacking something in attitude that made Mrs. Herrera's clothes relevant/resonant in the first place. A more daring take, or a sense of clarity as to why this old school elegance should matter rn. His take always seems rather textbook elegant, it's not deepening her codes and feels dated. There are always pretty separates, many of the first 4 rows of looks can be worn naturally in everyday life. But the styling seems unstylish and if you look at the way Mrs. Herrera conducts herself, there's a steely pov beneath the sunny surface which makes the whole thing works better imho. The picture and the screenshot were posted to show how at her core her old world sensibilities seem authentic and therefore, cool and desirable. I still think of her ball gowns + crisp white shirts days, a refined take or something along the line I feel would make the brand more exciting clothes-wise.
