I was reading the post on the fall winter 2006 ads thread, and as always "everebody" hates Carolyn... I really can't understand why, i mean, i know that not all the people loves the same model, and i hate several other models actually, but, in this forum a lot of people hate Carolyn... but I THINKS SHE IS THE MOST GORGEOUS MODEL IN THE WORLD

Everybody = 3 people. HAH. As far as they don't say something harsh, you can feel there is no hate but simply lack of observation towards the work of a model. I think that you're right in the fact that not everyone loves the same model, especially since there are different types of models in fashion (doll faced, tall, blonde, brunette, etc) and the ad is also to have possitive and negative reactions. I like it because it looks old and possibly french but at the same time it's not that creative.

Carolyn sometimes doesn't have the recognition that she deserves, like happens with models like Amber, Shalom, Bridget... Carolyn sometimes doesn't have the recognition that she deserves, like happens with models like Amber, Shalom, Bridget... I agree in the fact that each person have differents tastes and kinds of models, but today the "second half 90's models" are like forgotten, we are few that remember them, today is all new adolecent models, thats not bad, but sometimes there's no tolerance with old models.

Amber, Shalom and Carolyn are Vogue Icons, Anna Wintour will always love them, I also love them

A wee bit of gossip!! I've never been a huge Carolyn Murphy fan but I just visited my cousin this weekend and apparently my cousin's ex boyfriend is Carolyn Murphy's cousin (that may take a second read to comprehend haha). Anywho, so apparently MY cousin has met her a couple of times and here is what she (my cousin) said:

-She is approximately 5'10 (my cousin is super super short so she may have overestimated this)
-She is gorgeous in person but by no means 'supermodel gorgeous'. In other words, you would never know by looking at her on the street.
-She was a little weird at first (took some time to warm up) but eventually was really nice
-Very flaky, she always backs out on family events at the last minute (probably because of her schedule though)
-Incredibly thin, obviously! Due to a very strict macrobiotic diet that Dylan also adheres to.
-Her first husband was a total ***hole, the incubus guy was simply 'a bit of a jerk'. However, Dylan was incredibly close to the former and they practically share custody of her despite not being married.

Now here's a real dish that I know I'll get flack for but oh well. I'll try to make it TFS appropriate:
Carolyn told my cousin about a recent Versace shoot she did with Kate Moss. She said she didn't understand why Kate Moss was so big because she is a real b*tch sometimes. But that, when she has to, can turn on the charm big time. She also said that she was incredibly annoying because, while Carolyn (who has experimented in the past but completely professional and healthy now), Kate was...well...under the influence of a certain nameless substance and nearly incoherent, falling all over the place.

Of course, I figured my cousin was referring to some shoot from the late 90s or something. But I just checked this thread's recent pages and saw the NEW Versace shoot with the both of them Is this the only ad for Versace they've been in together?!
