THE CASHMERE COUPLE
FOR a duo that describe themselves as "style crazed women", hot new cashmere designers Emanuela Calvi and Jane Cattani have conversely created a collection which aims to
complement any style, rather than inflicting it's own. E+J cashmere will be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, although having been snapped up by Browns, Barneys and Colette prior to their debut, this "capsule" collection can already boast impressive status. The success of the "luxurious, lightweight cashmere" lies in its basic 'concept' - simplicity, and therefore variability. Jackets, sweaters, leggings, skirts, dresses and tops come in an unembellished colour range of black, fawn and charcoal grey, to allow for "a complete flexible wardrobe". Alleviating too much variety and detail means these are "ideal knit pieces that merge into the way women dress every day". However, like all timeless fashion staples, Calvi and Cattani have had to be incredibly "picky about necklines, sleeve-length, how skinny the body should be, and where the shoulder should sit". With a combined history in architecture, photography, modelling, editing and styling, there is no doubt these two make a dynamic pair with a natural affinity for shape and style, and their collection is sure to become every girl's fashion favourite. E&J Cashmere will be presented in Paris from October 2 to 12. For more information email
