It's been a real pleasure following Catherine's career over the past year. I knew she had it in her, but Catherine really developed visibly in her printwork, Most notably the last few months. That i-D editorial is really good. We're gonna see so much more of her and I cannot wait for it

Gap Design Editions 2008 with 3.1 Phillip Lim & co

Gap are redesigning white shirts in 2008 again, this time partnering with 3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Michael Bastian, Philip Crangi and Threeasfour. Each designer has once again redesigned the classic white shirt, with Crangi creating jewelry for the project.

“We were very pleased with the launch last year,” said Gary Muto, president of Gap Adult. “It is centered around encouraging new American design talent and bringing it to a broader audience. There are a lot of emerging designers and it’s become a crowded field, so we said, ‘How do we celebrate the creativity and use our size to announce the new talent?’”

Last year Gap partnered with Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon and it went so well that the collection will also incorporate men’s wear and be distributed in more Gap stores in the US, Canada, the UK and japan.

The print campaign features top models Chanel Iman, Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson, Du Juan, Catherine McNeil, Anya Rubik, Doutzen Kroes and Irina Lazareanu, all photographed by Inez and Vinoodh.


The collection will be available at GAP Adult stores on April 15, 2008
