Models Fall Winter 2008/2009 :flower:

Pretty bad quality but my converter is messed up
I usually worship at Cat's feet but there's two things in that video that irks me:

1- she cannot walk, and not only her walk is bad but she has no catwalk presence. I am so shocked considering she has the best body/face combo in the biz right now. I expected fireworks.

2- that she chews gum backstage is well, vulgar, but it's her business, but to chew while walking down the catwalk is just gross and unprofessional.

she looks like she's going to fall asleep on the catwalk. there is no energy or charisma.

i LOVE her face and she's one of my favourite models but seeing that video...she seems very plain and melancholy.

She wasn't the only girl chewing gum, and she didn't actually chew it on the catwalk. If you watch the video you can see that was just a test walk and the actual walk comes after (no gum).

I don´t remember if these were posted in this quality, sorry if repost

No presence on the runway? she owns it, screw the walk.
And girl likes to eat, good for her.

I agree, I think she has a fantastic presence on the runway.. Just look at her.

I watched that video, and I cannot find anything wrong with her walk. I think she is stunning on the runway. I have seen way worse "dead" presence on the runway.

I think it all comes down to one's own preference. Personally, I thought Catherine would've fit the Gucci runway show perfectly with her cool, casual walk whereas I wasn't very fond of her walk at say, Chanel.

Nevertheless, whatever she's wearing -- she sells me it. :D

Well this picture definately...makes a statement for a show card?

^I am so glad they used that second picture, it's one of my favorites of her.

I can't wait to see what S/S '09 will bring for her, and all the new pictures!

Well to each their own.
I think girls like Gisele or Yasmeen Gauri own a runway but to me Cat is transparent. She is still better than most underage robots you see this days because of her stunning face, but she would not have hold her own on a 90s catwalk among the supers (who are still the reference).
To me she is a edit/ad girl only (I also love her candids).
Just my opinion.

^ And the other girl has her own opinion which she stated as well. That's all. ^_^

Personally I do find her walk a little funny but she is so damn stunning she can do w/e she wants and still sell it. She seems to have an attitude too which transcends into w/e she's doing, which I think goes with the whole "modeling" thing. You have to have some type of a personality, otherwise everything is just flat --- runway, photos etc.

I agree with Harumi about competing with 90s models, but the 90s Super Models were completely different from models of today so at the same time I wouldn't even compare Catherine to say, Cindy Crawford. All those girls had attitude, curves, and they had their "own walk" that was allowed on the runway. Nowadays... I don't think --- unless you're an unnatural phenomenon --- any runway model is allowed to have their "own walk."

I would say models are still allowed to have their own walk on the runway, just not to the same degree/prominence as the 90s supers. Different times requires different styles I suppose.

Stunning showcard; I'm also glad they used that picture.
