Exactly. It could be a number of things (Mono, even, which can take someone out for weeks, not to mention reoccur over and over again), so the speculation continues...

(Besides, the mystery of it all stirs the pot--agencies love this! Great PR!)

What we can glean from all of this press relevant to "the illness" is that she is an important character to fashion at the moment. What an incredible measure of 1.) her rise and demand in the industry, and 2.) models returning to the celebrity stage...credit that to new media (among other pop culture poundings) and, always, TFS.

Also , until Catherine comes to this site/another accredited forum, and tells us what her "illness" is herself, we will never know...and "insider" info from outside sources is always suspect. Plus it's really not our problem or our business. Her agency said she is sick, not really a big deal cause it happens to everyone. As long as she is back and ready to wow us again in the near future, I'm OK with it.

its only a few weeks, not months, that's all I meant. Sometimes geting really better and generally healthy is more important than walking Versace to some models, hence, the breaks from shows that we sometimes notice. anyways, Its not like she is out for the rest of the year. My point was that when you have the type of life style these girls have--running from show to show, city to city and living on a plane, you are bound to get really knocked down by a flu/cold/being tired. its easy to assume the worst because as we all know, lots of models are prone to "other" problems too. But, maybe Cats just plain old fashioned sick and needs a little break, which = not a big deal.

And if she isn't walking shows, the possibility of getting campaigns can be much less. I'm not saying that this will happen to Catherine, but there is always the possibility... And I don't think people are upset because she is missing fashion week as much as they are wishing her well and that she betters herself because only naturally, her fans only want the best for her.

I don't think I'm missing any part, but whatever...I wish her well too, as I'm a fan as well . and yes, I too am confident that this short break wont have the kind of impact that will stop her from doing campaigns or other shows, as she is hardly a new face that needs the runway exposure, and is not forgettable!!

I personally don't follow her "personal life" so when it comes to anything that "cannot be spoken here" I have absolutely no idea what it could be. A number of things are going through my head... I never really pictured her as the type but then again, like I said, I really just admire her work and stick to that.

Whatever it may be I hope she's better now or almost there.
