Supermodel Catherine McNeil shares a diary she kept during her recent L.A. shoot with Mario Testino

October 14, 2007: Flying to L.A. for V Magazine

6:00 a.m. Aghhh! I'm still on Paris time so for the 4th day in a row I'm up at six for no reason

7:30 a.m. Ok ready to go! But I need coffee and the coffee shop is closed for another half hour.

10:20 a.m. So I'm on the plane but I started feeling sick about an hour ago so I'm just going to sleep—I love sleeping. I can't wait to hit L.A.

2:00 p.m. I'm STILL on the plane and haven't been able to sleep but watching crappy plane movies has managed to pass the time.

5:15 p.m. Just arrived at the hotel. It's really cute so I'm going to have something to eat and maybe go for a walk.
7:23 p.m. I've watched about four movies and I'm so bored. There's no gym and the spa is being fixed so I'm off to bed.

October 15, 2007: The shoot

6:00 a.m. I just got a wake-up call from New York telling me my call time is seven a.m. not eight and all the clocks are different. So I'm getting ready in a mad rush only to find out that it's only six a.m. LOL

8:00 a.m. It took an hour to get here but I just arrived on set. It's cold and windy but we're on the beach and I love all the people I'm working with!

2:30 p.m. It's lunch time, but I can't sit down because the top...umm I'm not sure what it is anyway but it's falling apart. So I have to eat lunch standing.

6:00 p.m. FINISHED! The day went really quickly and it was fun so I'm off to the airport. My flight isn't until midnight.
11:30 p.m. Woohoo! After five to six hours in the lounge, sleeping on the smallest chair in the world with nothing on TV but baseball, I'm on the plane and I'm going straight to sleep...zzz...
