Catherine McNeil

the bashing is ridiculous, i've read many times (COACD etc) that Catherine has one of the best smoking hot bodies in the business.

I don´t remember if these were posted... :flower:

Thanks, I don't think I have seen them!

Am i the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with VS? I think for any model its an incredibly smart career move to make, especially if they want to become house hold names although Cat might not want that. Who knows.
You aren't alone. I see Natasha Poly, Caroline Trentini and Jessica Stam as a great example of three models that can do commercial work, get tons of exposure and money from it, and still remain at the top of their game high fashion-wise. I have enough faith in Catherine that if she were ever to do Victoria's Secret, she'd completely surpass the "trashy" image. But in my opinion, I don't see her walking the VS runway anytime soon.

^^^They were posted before. They're from The Bulletin magazine. Full editorial is here #2923 :flower:

Ya her handle looks like a huge claw on the cover, it was terrible...and VS is cheap.

All's I can see from the campaign thread is she has a brand called Express? :( But I think there might be some surprises in store...

Here is the pic

I think it's incredibly lame and unfair to say that just because she has a straight up and down body she has a "boy body." If that's how you feel then I think you need to go and look at some boy's bodies, because she obviously has a woman's body. The only difference with her is that she's not curvy --- big deal. I was not blessed with huge hips and breasts either but I still have a woman's body. I hate that whole idea because it goes right back to why women are so insecure with themselves and why they feel they need tons of plastic surgery. Real women's bodies come in all different shapes and sizes.

Personally I could see Cat doing it easy because she has great natural looking breasts and what more do you need when you're selling bras? (Except a beautiful face which she also has.) The only reason why I wouldn't want to see her doing VS is because I think VS's whole campaign is really cheap looking nowadays. It would completely kill her HF career and she'd become a goofy overly tanned, highlighted commercial girl.

I think she's pretty womanly actually- at least for a model. She's got bigger than average breasts for a girl that height, but I still agree with what you are saying.

All societies assign different characteristics to the male and female sex, this makes up gender. In western society the more different a female is, in comparison to a male, the more "womanly" she is considered to be (breast, hip size). But in reality, so long as a person has female reproductive organs that person is a woman. I agree with Gwen, who says the bigger your breasts are, the more womanly you are. As far as im concerned Cat is all "woman" to me lol.

Let's leave "the one" who apparently hasn't got a 'High Fashion'-taste. I think in the one's opinion, almost HF models have the body of 13 years-old boy. Tastes differ but I can say this place 'tfs' is scarcely for the race/playboy "woman" or something. We hardly ever dress them. Nobody in this industy wants them and I think everyone would know why. We just need the "13 years old boys" for clothes. but I still don't think the models here have boys' body. Their body sometimes looks beautiful and perfert to me.

By the way, I'm sorry if my opinion somehow offends anyone. I'm not trying to bash specific posters or anything of the like. I just can't stand the idea that not being blessed with "womanly curves" means you have a boys body --- especially when that's obviously not the case. I also agree that Cat's body is quite womanly --- far more womanly than most runway models. I can see where someone might say she is too thin or that she has no curves, but to say she doesn't have a woman's body because of that... That's just not right, and I'm tired of hearing that.
