Yesterday night, Soho sunglass boutique Ilori hosted a private cocktail event to celebrate the launch of Jason’s newest eyewear endeavor–the first-ever designer optical collection to be sold at the shop. Cast in shades ranging from frosted rose and aqua to classic black and tortoiseshell, the eyeglasses’ retro appeal was a huge hit with guests like Becka Diamond, models Catherine McNeil, Siri Tollerod, Alana Zimmer, and Tati Cotliar, and VOGUE Senior Accessories Editor Filipa Fino, who co-hosted the fete. In between sipping champagne and snacking on beef tartare canapes, most in attendance couldn’t resist trying on the specs for themselves. Meanwhile, stylists Kathryn Neale and Mary Alice Stephenson navigated the packed space with ease–searching, perhaps, for new accessories to pull for their upcoming shoots? And our man of the hour confessed he was excited to sport the black horn-rimmed style himself–most of the optical range, we should mention, is unisex.
