Biography
Cathy began her career at British Vogue as a fashion assistant, were she worked for a number of years. In the early 1990’s she left and begun her career as a freelance stylist. Her first commissioned shoot for Vogue was the infamous “knicker “story shot by Corrine Day. An image from this story is now hanging in the Tate Modern.
Cathy was then approached by Prada to consult and style the Miu Miu show in 1997, this collaboration lasted for 6 seasons. In addition she styled Anna Molinari for 14 seasons and spent a further 5 years with Blumarine. Cathy has styled a number of shows such as Mary Katranzou, Ghost, Daks, Angelo Marani, Alessandro dell Aqua, Luisa Beccaria, Julien MacDonald and Pringle.
She has also worked on a number of major advertising campaigns such as Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Ungaro, Alberta Ferretti, The Gap, Chloe, Strenesse, Jo Malone, Lancôme and Guess amongst many more.
She has had long term consultancies with Max and Co, Angelo Marani and Jigsaw.
At present she is a contributing Fashion Editor to Italian Vogue and ID. She has also worked on a number of other magazines such as: Japanese Vogue, Chinese Vogue and Numero.
Photographers she has worked with include Corrine Day, Miles Aldridge, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Terry Richardson, David Sims, Paolo Roversi, David Simms, Glen Luchford, Ellen Von Unwerth and Tim Walker.
