Yes, but not as important as some other things

a) They inform me of coming trends
b) They are visually stimulating
c) They help me to decide which brands I prefer
d) They inspire me to create my own work

5. a)Name three of your avourite catwalk designers.
b)Why do you like their shows?

Alexander McQueen - I think dressmaking is a dying art and whilst I'm not knowledgable enough to know which designers have backgrounds in dressmaking, I know McQueen has a (if quite small) background in tailoring, something I think shines in his clothes and backs up my opinion that such construction skills should have be given more emphasis as integral parts of the designing process. I also find he has an uncanny ability to move between the wearable and the avent garde, though maybe not as much as of late. (Sorry that was too long!)

Prada - Though I don't agree with the moneyspinning ethics of groups like Mr Miuccia's, it is undeniable that Ms Miuccia has an amazing influence on the fashionworld and trends. Miu Miu is also, I find, one of the best second lines around and constantly produces clothes completely in tune with me and my friends.

Balenciaga - Simply beautiful, back to the construction point.

6. Do you prefer brands that produce catwalk shows to brands that do not? If so why?

Its hard for me to answer this question as most of the things I buy are vintage or from concession stalls, i.e. topshop unique.

7. If you like a brand that you see on the catwalk do you buy the product?
