Cavalli : fashionable booze

GUCCI Gin comment!

I love Bombay Sapphiere Gin it is a great Gin...the do the very cool designer glasses!! If GUCCI comes up with a Gin and the bottle is as unique as the Cavalli bottle I would buy it to have it in my bar!! If the liquid is as good or better than Bombay Sapphire I will keep buying it!!:D Call GUCCI and tell them to start working on it...I am willing to drink better!!

On the other hand I have tried Tanqueray 10....it sucks!!!!

Anyway does somenone know a place to get Cavalli Vodka in South Florida??? I really want to try it!!! I am tired of going to a bar to drink what everyone else is drinking GG...What is next?? Cavalli Vodka??? We will see what happends....:woot: :P :D

This is ridiculous.

You're totally buying into the hype! You're buying a bottle of booze purely for the design of the bottle and not the liquid.

When it comes down to vodka, you end up paying MORE for LESS taste. Which I find to be absolutely ridiculous. You pay $60 for cleaner and smoother (ie-closer to water in taste) whereas the same $60 could be put towards gin that has subtle flavors in it or a nice bottle of wine that is wonderfully complex.

I used to drink stoli vodkas all the time. Then I realized that I want something more interesting on the palate.

If Gucci puts out booze, and you buy it... you're just one of the masses of people that are blinded by the logo.

By the way, Tanqueray 10 is a wonderful gin! Hendricks is even better... hints of rose and cucumber mmmmmm.

Screw this Cavalli vodka. Who cares where the water comes from, or where it was made. Water is water. If you think one bottled water tastes different than another, you're just lying to yourself. A blind taste test will prove this every single time. Same with vodka. Who cares if it was made with water from a 60,000 year old glacier. Water everywhere is technically older than that.

I hate this sort of marketing.:yuk:

I respect your opinion! I think is just a matter of preferences and taste. We are not all made equal.

Do not buy Cavalli vodka if you do not want to...I will buy it! I think it is cool! If I like the vodka inside the bottle I will keep buying it! It is a free market/free world ...do not buy it if you do not want to... I guess you will never know if it is a good product or not....maybe you will be missing a great vodka...maybe not!!

Ciao

*shrugs* when i was a kid i made my mom buy me a pair of keds because kedso the clown said to.....:innocent:

What is going to be sad is when I buy it for my self-described "fashionable" friends and they have no idea who Cavalli is. It might be worth the $60 a bottle for the entertainment value for me.

I hope, pray and predict that this will be a big failure. "Designer" booze is nice as a distraction, nothing more. IMO.

Cavalli isn't even a household name you'd connect to elegance or quality.

...and the bottle I will keep to decorate my flat!!

Ciao !!

That is KLASSY with a "K" ! lol.

I agree with the tott's quote. I don't think Cavalli is a big enough name, or is even connected to an image of quality to really sell that well. It's more about novelty than anything.

I dont think this will do well...

Has anyone heard of the gucci wallpaper? It was like $70 a roll I think. I dont know how much wallpaper is supposed to cost so I dont know if thats over priced... But what happend to designers making clothes and not all of this bs?

Yeah, it's normally clear, it's probably just repackaged Absolute (or haha, even better, Skky) At that price, I'd rather have Grey Goose or Stoli. Or... perhaps... absinthe :ninja:

And besides, Italy isn't known for vodka.
heh, i've had absinthe!!!

buy the bottle on eBay one day :P but $60 for Cavalli's vodka isn't worth it I don't think - but time will tell. however, I think I would rather buy grey goose, or some good rum.

I think Cavalli should stick to fashion and leave us Vodka drinkers to our Grey Goose!!!

I may buy a bottle just for the pure novelty of drinking designer alcohol.

Other than that, I think its a ridiculous idea.

Ah, ice-cold and beckoning.

This is too funny! Very Appropriate though- Cavalli wearers would seem to drink a lot of alcohol
