The famous "Sex and the City" Kim Cattrall has been invited to become the godmother to Britney and Kevin's baby boy. The 49-year-old actress who played raunchy Samantha in "Sex and the City" has befriended Britney Spears while they worked together for "Crossroads".

Kim, who portrayed Britney’s mom in the 2002 film directed by Tamra Davis, might play an important role in baby Sean Preston’s life.

According to one of the couple’s friends, quoted by Britain's News of the World newspaper, "Britney loves Kim and will be asking her to be her godmother."

Rumour says that Britneys first choise Madonna turned the offer down, cause she is too busy.

Celebrities have this thing that they ask other celebs to be Godparents for their childs.
Drew Barrymore, who's Godfather is Steven Spielberg, is a Godmother for Francis Bean, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love,
Elton John is Godfather for one of the Beckham son's,
Jacqueline Bisset is Godmother of Angelina Jolie, who else?

Elizabeth Hurley is also Godmother for one of the Beckham son's as well as Patsy Kensit's and Liam Gallagher's son Lennon Francis Gallagher.
Her own son Damian Charles has got seven Godparents and, yes, Elton John is one of them.

I never knew that! How weird is it to have Michael as your Godfather? Do you think they are in touch?

And when it comes to Godparents, I don't know is it anymore like that, but it used to be that if something happens to your parents, your Godparents would be the ones to take care of you, and of course your Godparents are supposed to give you good advices during your life.
