Matty Bovan S/S 2020 London

This is going to sound so shady and I don't mean it that way so forgive me in advance ...

BUT

This is so London. It's exactly what you expect to come out of London and a graduate from CSM. It's that attitude of "Let's shock and push the envelope," but I don't feel moved because I've seen this aesthetic, if you can call it that, so many times before. It will capture eyes for a while and maybe it could get him hired at a large fashion house, but I don't imagine he'd be doing this type of work there. Let's evolve !

A collection no one asked for. These “clothes” are ********. And as Salvatore mentioned...they’re SO London. It’s so embarrassing for that city and for all of us to have to continue to pretend London is this fashion powerhouse. I’m sorry, but it is not 1996 anymore. Not since McQueen or Galliano has anyone bust out of that city with anything meaningful to say in fashion. Christopher Kane was their last Hope and he’s turned out to be a disappointment in the long run.

This person was unleashed upon us by Katie Grand and that’s who we should blame. Katie is really responsible for so much mess.

I had to check the website to see what's actually for sale and didn't make it that far because the neon lime and pink website hurts my eyes.
I went to check in the shop for myself and it is absolutely depressing verging on pathetic. Furthermore, the fact that some pieces are actually « sold out » (allegedly) is further highly concerning given how hideous everything is.
