There’s something schizophrenic about Ralph Lauren’s approach to interior. In a way it’s totally coherent to his brand’s aesthetic…
Super modern to super rustic. It’s special…
Early 80s sexy homes need to make a comeback.. the Rabinowitz/Little and De Santis apts .. they were so not interested in the cozy, netflix & chill, 'wellness and nature-loving queen', white and beige vibe that reigns today and that is frankly so easy to get because we're bombarded by templates from every corner.
Also lol at the Botero in the dining room, tell me you're an almond mom without telling me you're an almond mom. I'd totally get a Botero sculpture and place it above the fridge.

La Rondinaia, Gore Vidal's villa pictured above, has been turned into a hotel. They haven't updated things too dramatically in terms of the interiors, thankfully. But looking at scans from @justaguy, from nearly 50 years ago, I wish they'd chosen furniture that's closer to what Gore had.
Anyway, here are some photos of how a few of the rooms featured above look now. Plus one of the grounds, which are just fantastic.
