Celine S/S 2026 Paris | the Fashion Spot

Celine S/S 2026 Paris

I thought the styling was a little bit better this time around but still needs work. I liked some of his ideas though

Much better than his first collection. The separates seem interesting and a lot of offerings.

I can see a bit more clearly his POV. However, too much bags and the styling i just can’t.

He needs someone who is very precise.

The menswear is a non event.

It’s a bit like a teen version of phoebes Celine.
I actually enjoy the mood, it’s a bit more free, and I liked the soundtrack.
But I find his ideas on tailoring very unappealing, the built out shoulder and then immediately taken in at the waist feels messy and unresolved, as if you took a men’s blazer found in a second hand shop and clipped it in the back. With the women’s it works better because he has a couple of styling tricks to add movement back.

I think his dresses and that last look work the best. The rest I don’t know, I really wonder who still wants to buy this in 2026?

I think it’s fantastic.
Celine by MR is what Loewe by PS think they are.
This is what I mean by doing just great clothes in a very non-fussy way. The show was engaging, the cast is great, the pieces are great and the proposition still has a fashion POV.

It’s just a lot of products to take in.
I don’t mind a model holding a coat for the attitude but when she is holding a coat and 2 bags, come on’! Even Vuitton doesn’t push the bags that hard on us.

They should limit themselves on pushing 2/3 bags per show max! The opening bag, the new luggage and maybe another one.

Maybe some editing was needed too in terms of silhouettes because I think I saw a denim look that was almost identical to the resort. I understand that this is a continuation but still.

But so far, I’m into his vision for Celine, the emphasis on the foulards and things like that. He has a great commercial eye but less is more is the way to go for him.

We saw it with Michele at Gucci. You can really cut short your tenure by exhausting our eyes with a profusion of stuff.

This feels like a truly Parisian collection, absolutely chic, the right balance between chaos and cohesion. I do get early Agnes B vibes —especially in the knits — and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Wantable and fun-looking accessories, superb casting that makes the collection feel
immediately individual. That extra-wide tuxedo band on the closing look. Top marks. I’m into this.

(Ps I feel like Dario Vitale’s Versace and New new Celine are kindred spirits. Youthquake.)

loved it! After Tom Ford, my favorite show of the season. I've never been a big fan of Phoebe's Celine because, even though I recognized that the clothes were beautiful, she took herself too seriously. I didn't like Hedi because when it comes to taking herself too seriously, he's the king... instead, here I see a very nonchalant and playful attitude, also thanks to the styling, which I really like. Undoubtedly, a few accessories in men's would help make it less bazaar-like, but overall, I love it! P.S. The yellow sweater with red writing reminds me of the JWA sweater with the anonymous ****** writing and the Dior bag with Dracula. I would have avoided it.

I think Vitale and Rider are both referencing the same 80s styles, not the Miami-Vice Montana Mugler ones, but the actual 80s from high-street brands back then …

It’s much better but there’s still an undercurrent of things being weirdly too formal for daywear, too casual for evening wear, and too free-spirited for conservative events that makes me wonder who this is for where they are going and why would they pick Celine out of all the other options.

I really don’t like the scarf story or the accessories especially the sunglasses and bags, but I think he will get where he needs to be in 1-1.5 years when he has market feedback to react too.

Between this and Loewe I'm really quite excited.
Consider me a fan Micahel Rider I want ALL of this
