If Georgina May Jagger, Lily Allen, Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively became the faces of Chanel bags, Dua Lipa can.

Yeah I know but those were all Karl's favorite and we know Karl had very QUESTIONABLE taste sometimes...
I don't think anyone from the current design team at Chanel is charmed by Dua Lipa...apart from her social media engagement.
CHANEL under Karl was also subservise and punk, so I think Kristen Stewart and Alice Dellal were actually good match for some campaigns. Same for Lily Allen whose music has always verging on the alternative pop side. Chanel is also about Not being conventional and be disruptive.
100% on Blake though, such a bland and boring girl with no personality and no relevance in her acting resume when she was casted for that flop bag campaign, terrible choice.

I was also just thinking, what's up with Lupita Nyongo? She was named newest brand ambassador 6 months ago at the SS25 show yet she has Not appeared yet in a single campaign for RTW, jewelry, makeup, skincare...it does not make sense.

Karl gave a contract to Lily Allen because she shopped a lot of Chanel so…
They dressed Dua for the Met Gala so she knows the team. All the people who were there when Virginie was at the helm are still there.

I prefer Dua Lipa to Angèle tbh.

Karl was no high meight priest as snob he was he embraces always pop princes and move on to the next when needed
