Chanel F/W 2016.17 : Mariacarla Boscono & Sarah Brannon by Karl Lagerfeld

The styling and Maria look great but i'm not sure about the background. This collection is so beautiful ,so i'm not a fan of those confusing background.

I like Sarah's shot. MCB's are too cartoony. Plus i'm beyond bored by her.

I would've liked to see the girls in colour as well.

Is the backgrounds´style a reference to something?
I wonder how they look in print, cause I like the idea of texture and the camellias but I´m not sure it was executed properly, or perhaps they´d fit better in Fendi.

But I do love the styling and poses, I wish we could get the images alone.

This looks like a desperate and a rather stereotypical way to appeal to the Asian market, if you ask me. I'm not a fan of it.

First the Prada background and now this?

My thoughts exactly!! But in theory I'd say first Céline, Prada, now Chanel! This must end. I'm not warming to this, and Mariacarla Boscono doesn't have a very commanding presence to at least carry this.

So dissapointed!

I don't like the background, it reminds me too much of Stella M, and not in a good way! :P

No. This Looks cheap. Like a fragrance campaign for 12 year olds.

Mariacarla with the SERVE yet again, her beauty even shins through Karl's awful photography.

I don't hate it but it feels like a wasted opportunity to deliver something great.
The poses are powerful and it's kinda frustrating.
This campaign with a white background and the individual shots (instead of the collages) = WINNER!

The Karl/Carine thing has been very disappointing. Emmanuelle Alt did a great job, so did Alex White.
Carine had the opportunity to do more than great but she hasn't done anything really iconic in 5 years.

Well, for starters the peace sign is a brooch from the collection (I'm on the waiting list for it) and in the upper right corner there's a wheat print also from the collection, all on red quilted suede. Obviously the jumbo pearl necklace and camellias everywhere, gotta say I love this campaign and really am looking forward to seeing it in print!

This looks like a sad collage that some fashion student did in the late 00'. Very, very disappointing. I would never expected this from Chanel.
Maria Carla looks great, as always, I was seeing the pictures the Gucci FW 2006 and she still got that power until now.

I hope there are more pics... the collection itself was full of colors...

Well, I might be the first one to say it on this thread but after seeing all these images, I love it!
Everything pops. I´m sure it will be fantastic to be browsing a mag and Wham! a Chanel ad
The fabrics are the star of this campaign, anyway
