Basic HC Chanel yes!!! but better than many past recent shows even if its a mix bag of ideas but atleast proportions are not odd or too frumpy.....its not like Blazy is great at proportions and rigor either

its good enough and will do well with clients to aler to their needs lots to play with and remove and make longer etc

i like it on first view of the WWD video finale i am surprised

I do not know if Blazy will save Chanel, but I am sure it won't be this flat and boring. While looking at Schiaparelli, you could sense the joy and fun Daniel has when it comes to designing, even if it is not one's taste. Here, haute couture looks like a brutal exercise and torture ... something they are obligated to do rather than something they enjoy doing.

Allegedly, he will physically join the design team in March / April 2025, so I assume his first designed collection will be SS26

The previous couture show happened right after Virginia’s departure and it made me believe that Virginie was the problem. At this point I doubt that incoherent Blazy will do much better. It has become painfully clear that the house is empty without a visionary leader with a strong, singular point of view.

Disappointed with this one.
The design team managed to make outfits look juvenile and dated at the same time.
Weird use of bright colors, they come up rather garish and bordeline tacky rather than bright and energizing.
Definitely the worst collection from the design team so far after a good SS25 RTW and a nice Metier D'Arts.

The set design and music is rather nice actually. Although it’s like they took a page out of LV’s women’s wear shows.

The collection is just awkward. Not as bad as some of those Virginie shows but it’s all so so lost. And to me it’s further let down by the cast. They just have no capacity to have anything look somewhat decent. I’ll wait for the photos to really divulge further because the video is a tad painful to really care about a lot of this.

Say what you want but at least with Virginie gone there is an improvement on the proportions. It's a basic and innofensive collection but I don't mind.

Matthieu can only be an improvement from that.
What a weird collection. In terms of proportions, it looked right but the colors, the styling, the details made it look so dated.

At least the clients won’t need to stretch their imagination to modify the silhouettes.

Still terrible in terms of dressmaking.

I can’t wait for October because between the very juvenile RTW and this, it’s too much.
