You might have the best craftmanship in the world... and you use it for this?
Oh my god 😩🙃😂😂😂😂 dude that is absolutely crazy so no one in the studio said I don't know about this look. You might have the best craftmanship in the world... and you use it for this?
The lack of imagination of these silhouettes is astonishing.
They learned nothing they didn't even care. That shiny fabric on those collars is so tacky. That set looks nice. But is drowned out in that space. Nothing works here. It’s beyond sad that Chanel is in this state. Have they learned nothing from Karl?
Alber Elbaz outshined Chanel Couture with a ready-to-wear dress he designed in 2008 and crafted out of... polyester.I can’t with that baby blue satin-ish cape I cannot. It’s like they tried to mix Alexander McQueen’s “The Girl Who Lived in The Tree” silhouette with the energy of John Galliano’s parachute dress for Dior… it’s bad… really bad
And the music is so Alexander McQueen (or at least the YouTube livestream’s)…
Thank you for putting me in my place, that one was humbling 😄😄😄To whoever dares to criticize this collection, remember all that 2 years ago we had girls wearing magician hats and tiny bowties coming out of cheap wooden animal replicas and walking over a dirty gray flooring...

(I actually have the persimmon dress and the construction is so, so, so clever)

The only women I have seen wearing this cut were old ladies. It's very Coco Chanel. The actual designer so it has a very dated look. It's not ready for 2025 or maybe it is everything is so dull nowadays that bride was just beyond subpar.
Lots of wonderful details Chanel own some of the best embroidery houses the world has ever seen.
None of that can help if you don't have a designer with direction! colors all over the place no cohesion whatsoever. Just a collection of beautiful fillers.
The set means nothing without a great collection
This is the best piece of the show that jacket is the best thing in the collection! question to all the women in this chat do you guys like short pants that stop at the knee? We have seen it so many times at other houses but particularly at Chanel and Chanel couture pants that stop at the knee and Coco hated that.
Watching this makes me understand while Maria it's still at Christian Dior they're holding on to her especially if she can sell couture in mass numbers she's doing a good job.

To be fair, if I recall correctly it was a very high quality Japanese technical polyester...Alber Elbaz outshined Chanel Couture with a ready-to-wear dress he designed in 2008 and crafted out of... polyester.
